Glasgow is famous for its park areas and the local Kelvingrove Park and Botanical Gardens, are two of the largest parks in the city. Scotland’s most popular art gallery, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, is located in Kelvingrove Park. The Scottish Conference and Exhibition Centre (SECC) also attracts visitors to the West End for exhibitions, trade fairs and concerts. The area has many intimate concert venues and clubs attracting big names to the area, especially near the University Campus.

West End Festival, Glasgow
The west end high point is the West End Festival taking place in Glasgow late May/early June. The festival was founded in 1996 and since it began it has attracted over one million people. Each year there are over 400 free and ticketed events taking place in venues throughout Glasgow’s West End. Events include concerts, theatre performances, guided tours and walks, and activities for children and families.
